Differentiated instruction
-students are placed in the center of teaching and learning
-teacher plans a variety of instruction methods so as to meet different learning needs of students
-teacher diagnoses differences in readiness levels, individual interests, and learning styles of all students in the classroom

Steps:
1. Pre-assessment
Used to determine what students already know
e.g. quiz, game, discussion, questions
2. Content
Differentiating the content by designing activities for groups of students that cover different areas of Bloom’s Taxonomy (knowledge, comprehension, and application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation)
e.g. students with partial mastery may be asked to complete tasks in application, analysis and evaluation areas and students with high level of mastery may be asked to complete tasks in evaluation and synthesis
3. Process
Differentiation based on students’ learning styles
e.g. some students read about the topic, others listen to it and others, manipulate the object
4. Product
What the students produces at the end of the lesson to demonstrate the mastery of the content
e.g. tests, evaluations, projects, reports
